🛒 Buying and Selling Players on OpenSea

👥 Building Your Squad

Once you own a club, it’s time to build your squad. Most managers have a squad of around 23–30 players. Here’s how to buy players on OpenSea:

🔗 1. Go to the Official Marketplace

Head to the Footium Players Collection on OpenSea and connect your wallet.

🔍 2. Filter Players by Attributes

Look for players that match your strategy:

• Young talents with high potential
• Veterans to fill key roles
• Players with dual or versatile positions

👀 3. Check Player Status & Metadata

Click the player’s Footium profile link (in their OpenSea description). Confirm:

• 🔄 The used potential is up to date — click “Refresh metadata” on OpenSea if unsure
• 🏷️ Their registration status (Free Agent or Registered):
• • Free agents will have no club badge and show a red X shield on their Footium profile
  • Registered players show their club’s badge

🔁 4. Transfer Windows Matter

✅ Unlimited Transfer Window: You can register any player

🔒 Limited Transfer Window: You can only register free agents (unregistered)

Be cautious! If you buy a player registered to another club, you won’t be able to use them until:

• They are unregistered during a limited window, or
• The next unlimited window opens

✅ 5. Confirming the Purchase

• Click Buy Now or place a bid
• If using crypto, approve the transaction in your wallet
• If using a card, follow OpenSea’s on-ramp checkout instructions

Once confirmed:

• The player appears in your Footium hub
• Go to the Squad tab and hit “Register” to add them to your team (if the window allows)

💼 Selling Players on OpenSea

Looking to offload a player or free up funds? Selling Footium players is quick and easy via OpenSea.

🎯 1. Choose the Player to Sell

• Head to the Players tab in your Footium dashboard
• Click the player you want to sell
• In the top-right corner of their profile card, click the blue ship icon
• This opens their OpenSea page

🛍️ 2. List Your Player for Sale

• Make sure you're logged into OpenSea with your Footium wallet
• Click “List for Sale” in the top-right corner of the player’s OpenSea page

⚙️ 3. Set Price & Confirm Listing

• Set your price and listing duration
• Review platform fees:
• • OpenSea: 2.5%
  • Footium: 5% (added to the rewards pool)
• Confirm the listing by signing with your wallet

📢 4. Promote Your Player

Boost visibility by sharing your sale in the relevant channel on Discord.
