How Rewards Work

Where Rewards Come From

Footium's rewards are funded through various in-game transactions:

Academy Mints

90% of mint fee

Legendary Auctions

50% of proceeds

Coaching Session Sales

50% of spend

Example: A player sells for 0.1 ETH. 5% fee = 0.005 ETH β†’ 0.0045 ETH to rewards.

Unassigned Rewards

Unassigned rewards come from agents without a club, ineligible clubs, and unclaimed ETH from previous seasons.

Division Splits & League Allocation

Each Division has its own reward pool, based on how much economic activity (player sales, coaching, mints) it generated. This pool is then split evenly across all the leagues in that Division. Each league then splits its share between the top finishers according to its Division's reward structure.

Season 17 Reward Restructure

With the introduction of Footium Currency (FC) in Season 17, the ETH reward structure has been adjusted. FC now provides an additional layer of rewards for all clubs through home match earnings and end-of-season FC distribution (see the Footium Currency (FC) article for full details). As a result, the number of positions receiving ETH has been reduced, with rewards weighted heavier towards the top positions. Positions that no longer receive ETH are compensated with more FC rewards.

Why Promotion Matters

Reaching a higher Division significantly increases your potential rewards because:

  • More economic activity: Higher Divisions have bigger club bases, more coaching spend, more player sales, and higher academy mint costs, resulting in larger reward pools.
  • Fewer leagues: This means a larger share per league from the Division's total pool.
  • FC earnings scale with division: The FC Division Multiplier is higher in upper divisions, meaning your stadium earns significantly more FC per home match the higher you climb.
