๐ฐ How rewards work and how to claim
Footium rewards are designed to recognise competitive success and active club ownership. There are two main reward ideas to understand: real-money rewards funded by game activity, and FC rewards used for club development. This article explains where rewards come from, how they are split, and how to claim real-money rewards after a season.
Where cash rewards come from
Footiumโs cash reward pool is funded through several in-game activities. Player sales include a 5% fee, with 90% of that fee going into rewards and 10% going to Footium. For example, if a player sells for 0.1 ETH, the creator fee is 0.005 ETH. Of that, 0.0045 ETH goes into rewards and 0.0005 ETH goes to Footium revenue.
Academy and free agent signings also contribute. Footium takes a 20% revenue share, while 80% of the fee goes into the cash reward pool and is attributed to the division of the club signing the player. Legendary Player Auctions contribute half of the proceeds after auction fees. Coaching session sales also contribute 50% of spending to rewards, attributed to the division of the purchasing club.
How rewards are attributed
Rewards are collected and attributed by division. Player sale attribution depends on the division of the buying club and the registration status logic described in the source guide. Academy signings are attributed to the division of the club signing the player. Coaching session spending is attributed to the division of the club buying the sessions.
Division reward totals are split equally across the leagues inside that division. This means each league in the same division has the same league reward amount. Because rewards are driven by activity, it is possible for a lower division to have more reward activity than a higher one in a particular season.
There are also unassigned rewards. These can come from unclaimed or unassigned rewards, such as activity from player agents who do not own a club. Footium takes 50% of unclaimed and unassigned rewards, and the remaining 50% is distributed uniformly across all leagues the following season.
Positional cash rewards
Cash rewards are concentrated at the top of each league. In Divisions 1 to 6, the top six positions receive cash rewards: 1st receives 35%, 2nd 19%, 3rd 17%, 4th 11%, 5th 8% and 6th 5%. Positions 7th to 10th receive 0% cash rewards.
In Divisions 7 and 8, the top four positions receive cash rewards: 1st receives 37%, 2nd 25%, 3rd 21% and 4th 17%. Positions 5th to 10th receive 0% cash rewards.
FC rewards
FC is also distributed at the end of each season based on division and final league position. The Season 22 end-of-season division rewards increased from 8,000,000 FC to 10,000,000 FC per division. Higher divisions receive significantly larger reward pools, and finishing higher earns a bigger share. The design encourages clubs to compete to stay up rather than dropping down for easier results. In Divisions 7 and 8, only the top six positions receive end-of-season FC rewards.
How to claim cash rewards
Cash rewards become claimable at the start of the following season. Connect the relevant wallet to Footium, then go to your club home page. You should see a Reward Claim section showing a breakdown of rewards won by clubs owned by your wallet at the reward snapshot date. Click the claim button and execute the transaction. Once completed, rewards should arrive in your wallet within seconds.
You have until the end of the next season to claim. If rewards are not claimed in time, they are moved to unassigned rewards for the upcoming season, with 50% going to Footium revenue and 50% distributed back across the pyramid.
