Footium matches aren’t just something you watch — you can actively influence the outcome in real time.

📺 Watching Live

Every day, your club will play a live match against another real opponent. To tune in:

Head to the Fixtures tab
Find your upcoming or current match
Click Watch Match

This opens the live match viewer, where you can see key moments, lineups, and performance insights.

🧠 The ‘Manage’ Tab

At the top of the match screen, you’ll see a Manage tab. This is your tactical command centre, allowing you to make real-time changes to try and influence the result.

Here’s what you can adjust during the match:

🔄 Substitutions — Make up to 3 subs per match
🧩 Formations — Switch shape to suit the flow of the game
📈 Mentality — Adjust your approach (e.g. go Ultra Attacking if chasing a goal)
🎖️ Captain — Change your captain on the fly
↔️ Player Positions — Move players to new roles or swap positions

You can make multiple changes at once (e.g. change formation + 2 subs), but you can’t queue actions — you’ll need to wait a few in-game minutes for changes to take effect before making more.

⚠️ No Guaranteed Benefit

There’s no automatic bonus for making changes during a match. In fact, poor decisions or excessive tinkering can make things worse.

💡 Like real football, smart in-game management comes down to good judgement, timing, and reading the flow of the match.

So whether you’re chasing a comeback or locking down a lead — manage wisely!
