🏟️ Stadiums and FC
Every Footium club has a stadium, and stadium development is one of the clearest ways to grow your club over time. Your stadium is made up of four independent stands. Two are long side stands, East and West, running along the length of the pitch. Two are short side stands, North and South, behind the goals. Each stand has a size and a material.
Size affects capacity, FC earnings and home match performance. Material is cosmetic only. It changes how your stadium looks, but it does not affect earnings or performance.
Stand sizes and capacity
There are five stand sizes: XS, S, M, L and XL. Long stands hold more supporters than short stands at every tier.

Your total capacity is the sum of all four stands. A brand new stadium with all XS stands has 1,500 capacity. A fully upgraded stadium with XL on all four stands reaches 70,000.
Stadium materials
Materials are visual choices. There are six: Wood, Brick, Stone, Metal, Dark Metal and Post-Modern. Higher stand sizes unlock more advanced materials.

When you upgrade a stand’s size, you can change its material for free as part of that upgrade. Each stand is chosen independently, so you can mix materials across your stadium.
Home match performance
Your total stadium capacity places your club into a stadium band for home matches. The bands are Terrible, Bad, Okay, Good, Great, Awesome, Excellent and Perfect. The band provides a multiplier to your home match performance. Capacity band and chemistry both apply to your base team strength at home.
Most clubs start in Terrible or Bad with default XS stadiums. Reaching Perfect requires a seriously large stadium, such as multiple L and XL stands. Exact multiplier values are not published. The range is deliberately tight, so a big stadium helps but does not replace squad quality, chemistry or good tactics.
FC earnings from home matches
Home match FC is based on:
- Stadium capacity
- Match result
- Division
The formula is:
FC Earned = Stadium Capacity × Result Multiplier × Division Multiplier
Wins earn a bonus, draws are the baseline and losses earn less. Higher divisions have higher earning multipliers. With 11 home matches per season, stadium capacity can become a major source of FC.
If your club fields an ineligible team for a home match, you earn 0 FC from that match. Check your line-up for missing slots, suspended players, injured players and players unavailable because of training.
Upgrades and maintenance
Stadium upgrades are made one stand at a time. You choose the stand, choose the material available at the new size, pay FC and the upgrade applies instantly. Long stands cost more than short stands at the same tier because they add more capacity, but they are better value per seat.
Bigger stadiums also need maintenance. At the start of each season, every stand above XS has a chance of needing repairs. XS stands are maintenance-free and never degrade. If a stand needs work, you have the full season to pay. If you do not, it drops one size tier at season rollover. Maintenance currently costs 40% of the upgrade cost for that stand’s current tier.
Strategy
Upgrade steadily. Bigger capacity improves FC income and home advantage, but do not overextend if you cannot maintain the stands. A strong stadium works best alongside good chemistry, a complete line-up and a squad that can compete in your division.
