🔐 Understanding Registration Windows

Footium uses a dynamic registration window system to manage how players are assigned to clubs. There are two types of registration windows: Unlimited and Limited, each with different rules that influence how you manage your squad.

❌ You can only unregister players during registration windows — either a full Unlimited Window (pre-season) or a capped Limited Window (mid-season).

📆 When Can You Register Players?

• You can register players to your club at any time, even when all windows are closed.
• But if a player is already registered to another club, they must be unregistered first before you can register them.

🔁 When Can You Unregister Players?

• Only during active windows:
• • Unlimited Window – pre-season: unregister and register as many players as you like.
  • Limited Window – mid-season: you can unregister a small number (e.g. 3 players), once per window.

You cannot unregister players outside of these windows, even if you want to sell or swap them.

✅ Free Agent Rule (Always Active)

• You can register free agents (unregistered players) at any time, even when other windows are closed.
• Makes Free Agents uniquely valuable for mid-season additions.

⚠️ Important: Buying Players Mid-Season

• If you buy a player that’s already registered to another club, they’ll stay at that club (playing games for them) until:
• • The current owner unregisters them during a limited window, or
  • The next unlimited window opens.
• You can’t register that player to your club unless they’re a Free Agent.

So:

• ✅ If you want to register and use a player immediately, buy a Free Agent.
• ❌ If you buy a registered player, you’ll need to wait or ask the seller to unregister them mid-season.
