Want to dive into Footium? Here’s how to go from zero to managing your own club in just a few minutes.
When you first join Footium, you have two ways to begin your journey. Both lead you into the same world and the same season schedule, the difference is simply what kind of experience you want from the start.
Step 1 – Create your Account
You can create an account in Footium
When you sign in, Footium automatically creates a secure wallet for you in the background. You do not need to install anything or connect a crypto wallet to begin.
Step 2 – Choose How You Want to Start
Option A — Play for Free as a Caretaker Manager
As a Caretaker Manager, you will:
- Manage a club for a full season at no cost
- Set your line-up, formation, tactics and captain
- Train and improve your players over time
- Compete in one match per day against real managers for full club ownership
This path is ideal if you want to:
- Try the full Footium gameplay loop before owning a club
- Learn how training, tactics, and matches work
- Experience a full competitive season without commitment
No payment, just create an account and start playing!
Option B — Own a Club with a Starter Bundle
If you want to build and shape a club long-term, you can own one from day one.
A Starter Bundle includes:
- Your Footium Club
- A 17-player squad ready to compete immediately
- Full access to rewards, transfers, and long-term development
You can purchase a Starter Bundle directly in-game using your card.
This path is ideal if you want to:
- Build a lasting club identity
- Compete for rewards from your first season
- Take full control of transfers, squad planning and club progression
Step 3 – Begin Your Season
Footium seasons run in real time.
- One league match takes place each day
- You can adjust your tactics and lineup between matches
- You can make live substitutions and tactical changes during matches
- Training, transfers and squad improvements happen between matchdays
Your performance across the season will determine:
- League position
- Promotion or relegation
- Your eligibility for rewards
Seasons run on set schedules.
If you are joining between seasons, your club will be placed into the next upcoming season, which you will be notified about via email.
