🕓 Getting Started: Creating Your Account & Playing the Game
Want to dive into Footium? Here’s how to go from zero to managing your own club in just a few minutes.
🧩 Step 1: Set Up Your Wallet (Rabby Recommended)
To play Footium, you'll need a Web3 wallet, we recommend Rabby Wallet. It's beginner-friendly and works perfectly with the Arbitrum network.
✅ Already have MetaMask? You can use it or import it into Rabby.
🌐 Step 2: Fund Your Wallet with ETH on Arbitrum
You’ll need ETH (Arbitrum version) to buy your club and players.
Option A: Withdraw ETH Directly to Arbitrum
Use exchanges like Coinbase:
- Buy ETH
- Go to Withdraw
- Paste your wallet address
- Choose Arbitrum One
- Confirm
Option B: Bridge ETH from Ethereum Mainnet
Already have ETH in your wallet? Use Squid Router to bridge ETH to Arbitrum.
🏟️ Step 3: Buy Your Footium Club
Before you can play, you’ll need to own a club.
The easiest way to do that is through the in-game Club Market, where you can:
- Instantly buy available clubs
- Filter clubs by:
- Price
- Division
- Registration Status (whether they are registered to the FFL or an amateur club)
- Or search directly by club name
Every club belongs to a division, from Division 1 (elite) to Division 8 (entry level) but all clubs are eligible for rewards and progression.
Prefer OpenSea? You can also browse the official Footium club collection, but we recommend using the in-game marketplace for a smoother experience.
👥 Step 4: Build Your Squad
Once you’ve got your club, it’s time to build your team.
Head to the in-game Transfer Market to browse and buy players directly inside Footium. You can purchase players instantly, filter smartly to find what you need, and start building a squad ready for matchday.
Use filters like position, age, overall rating, and registration status to target key signings, whether you’re after a wonderkid, a proven captain, or depth in a specific area.
🧠 You’ll need at least 23 players to register a full squad, but we recommend aiming for 25–30 to allow for tactical changes and rotation.
Key things to know:
- Players retire the season after turning 32
- Traits like stamina and leadership aren’t shown on the card but affect in-game performance
- Only unregistered players can be trained or added to your matchday squad outside of the unlimited window
