Playing as a Caretaker Manager (Free-to-Play)
You can play Footium for free as a Caretaker Manager. You'll manage a real club, compete in daily matches, and learn how the game works — all without spending anything.
Getting Started
- Head to footium.club/game/signup
- Sign in using Google, X (Twitter) or email
- You'll be shown four clubs to choose from — pick the one you like
- You're in. Start managing immediately
No wallet setup. No extensions. No crypto. Everyone starts the same way, choose a club and jump straight into the game.
What You Can Do as a Caretaker
- Set your lineup and formation
- Make tactical decisions before and during matches
- Compete in one match per day
- Complete caretaker objectives to learn the game's core mechanics (expanded in Season 17)
Upgrading to Club Owner (Optional)
If you want full access, you can upgrade to club ownership at any time via card payment. No crypto wallet needed. There are two options:

Club Only | $20 | Permanent ownership of your club. Your existing squad carries over. |
Full Upgrade | $80 | Permanent ownership + a 17-player squad to strengthen your team immediately. |
Ownership unlocks:
- Eligibility for money & FC season rewards
- Access to the transfer market (buying and selling players)
- Full access to the academy, training, and all management features
- A full club representing your ownership
