As a Caretaker Manager, you can play Footium for free.
You’ll manage a real club for a full season, compete in daily matches, and learn how the game works, all without needing to buy anything.
This is a great way to experience Footium before deciding whether to own a club long-term.
Step 1 – Create an Account
Sign in using:
Your account and wallet are created automatically. No setup required.
Step 2 – Choose the Free Caretaker Path
When signing up, select the “Play for Free as a Caretaker Manager” option.
Then:
- Submit your request to join the next season
- You’ll receive a confirmation email with details on when that season begins
There’s no payment and no commitment.
Step 3 – Get Assigned Your Club
When the next season begins, you’ll be assigned a club to manage for the full season, completely free.
Once assigned, you can:
- Set your line-up and tactics
- Make live decisions during matches
- Compete in one match per day
Step 4 – Compete for Full Club Ownership
Caretaker Managers play for the opportunity to earn permanent club ownership.
This is based on:
- Performance across the season
- Club development and improvement
- Engagement and match preparation
If you’re one of the strongest performing Caretakers in the season, you may be awarded full ownership of the club you managed.
