Want to dive into Footium? Here’s how to go from zero to managing your own club in just a few minutes.

When you first join Footium, you have two ways to begin your journey. Both lead you into the same world and the same season schedule, the difference is simply what kind of experience you want from the start.

Step 1 – Create your Account

You can create an account in Footium

Email When you sign in, Footium automatically creates a secure wallet for you in the background. You do not need to install anything or connect a crypto wallet to begin.

Step 2 – Choose How You Want to Start

Option A — Play for Free as a Caretaker Manager

As a Caretaker Manager, you will:

Manage a club for a full season at no cost
Set your line-up, formation, tactics and captain
Train and improve your players over time
Compete in one match per day against real managers for full club ownership This path is ideal if you want to:
Try the full Footium gameplay loop before owning a club
Learn how training, tactics, and matches work
Experience a full competitive season without commitment No payment, just create an account and start playing!

Option B — Own a Club with a Starter Bundle

If you want to build and shape a club long-term, you can own one from day one. A Starter Bundle includes:

| Footium is a competitive, social, and rewarding multiplayer football management game.

As a Club Manager, your job is to:

Build a squad using your academy and the transfer market
Train and improve your players over time
Set tactics and lineups for each match
Compete in daily league matches against real people
Finish as high as possible to earn promotion and real rewards

How Seasons Work

Each season lasts 22 matches.

There are 12 clubs per league
You play every club twice
One match happens each day Between matches, you can:
Adjust your lineup, formation, tactics and captain
Make live substitutions and tactical changes during a match
Improve your squad using training, coaching, the academy, and the transfer market

Promotion, Relegation and Rewards

Your performance matters. | Outcome | Result | | ---- | | Top 2 | Promoted to a higher division | | Middle 6 | Stay in the same division | | Bottom 4 | Relegated to a lower division | Clubs that finish high in their division earn real cash rewards each season.

💬 What Happens When You Buy a Club Mid-Season

When you buy a club in the middle of the season, you take over its full squad, but there are some rules.

What you inherit:

All currently registered players, even if you don’t own them

What you can do:

Play them in matches
Train them if you’ve also purchased those players and they’re now in your wallet

What you can’t do:

Train players you don’t own, even if they’re registered to your club
Unregister anyone unless a valid window is open

What happens next:

At the end of the season, all players that aren’t owned by the new club owner will be automatically unregistered
You can then register your own players in the next Unlimited Window

This lets new owners jump in and compete straight away, while still resetting squads at season’s end.

| ✅ If you buy the club and all the players from the previous owner (in a bundle or separately), they’ll remain registered and usable straight away, including for training.

📊 Division Splits & League Allocation

Each Division has its own reward pool, based on how much economic activity (e.g., player sales, coaching, mints) it generated. This pool is then split evenly across all the leagues in that Division. Each league then splits its share between the top finishers according to its Division's reward structure:

Once you own a club, it’s time to build your squad. Most managers aim for 23–30 players so they can rotate, train, and compete across a full season.

You can buy and sell players using either the in-game marketplace or OpenSea, but we always recommend using the in-game Transfer Market for a smoother, more accurate experience.

- Overall and potential rating
- Current age (players retire after the season they turn 32)
- Registration status (Registered vs Free Agent)
- Top positions
