🧩 Step 1: Set Up Your Wallet (Rabby Recommended)

To play Footium, you'll need a Web3 wallet, we recommend Rabby Wallet. It's beginner-friendly and works perfectly with the Arbitrum network.

||| 🔐 Important: During setup, you'll receive a Secret Recovery Phrase. Never share it. Store it offline somewhere safe — this phrase is the only way to recover your wallet. ✅ Already have MetaMask? You can use it or import it into Rabby.

🌐 Step 2: Fund Your Wallet with ETH on Arbitrum

You’ll need ETH (Arbitrum version) to buy your club and players.

Option A: Withdraw ETH Directly to Arbitrum

Use exchanges like Coinbase:

Option B: Bridge ETH from Ethereum Mainnet

When you're connected to the game at footium.club/game, you'll see a range of tabs down the left-hand side of the screen. Each one unlocks a different part of your club experience. Here’s a quick guide to what each section does:

🏠 Home

The Home tab gives you a snapshot of your season at a glance.

You’ll see:

Your current league position
Your next fixture and opponent
A rotating live message panel (used for announcements, updates, or tips)
A prompt to claim your seasonal rewards at the start of each new season

Use this as your daily base to stay updated and jump quickly to important actions like setting tactics or checking your academy.

🧍 Players

This tab shows all your active and retired players. You’ll use it to:

View ratings, stats, and potential for each player
Check condition and stamina before training or matches
See who’s in your XI, on the bench, injured, suspended & retiring soon
Register or unregister players with the buttons at the top

🧒 Academy

Each season, your club generates a fresh batch of youth prospects aged 16–18. You can choose to sign any of them by paying a fee (varies by Division). Once signed, they’re minted into full Footium pla

| Footium is a multiplayer football management game that is competitive, social and rewarding. As a Footium Club Owner + Manager, your job is to build out a squad of players, train and improve those players, compete in daily matches against other managers, and use your skill to finish as high in your league as possible at the end of the season to get promotion and real money rewards!

Footium is a competitive, social, and rewarding multiplayer football management game. As a Footium Club Owner + Manager, your job is to:

Build out your squad with your academy and the transfer market
Train and improve players
Compete in daily league matches
Finish as high as possible in your league for promotion and real money rewards

|| Each Footium season is 22 matches long. Clubs play every other team in their 12-club league twice. One game happens every day.

During the season:

⚽ One league match happens each day
🔁 You can set your lineup, formation, tactics and captain before every match
🧠 You can make live changes during the match, like subs or switching tactics
🛠️ Between matches, use the transfer market, player training and academy to improve your squad

||| If you finish in the bottom 4, your club is relegated to a lower division. Make sure to keep your form strong all season.

💬 What Happens When You Buy a Club Mid-Season

When you buy a club in the middle of the season, you take over its full squad, but there are some rules.

What you inherit:

All currently registered players, even if you don’t own them

What you can do:

Play them in matches
Train them if you’ve also purchased those players and they’re now in your wallet

What you can’t do:

Train players you don’t own, even if they’re registered to your club
Unregister anyone unless a valid window is open

What happens next:

At the end of the season, all players that aren’t owned by the new club owner will be automatically unregistered
You can then register your own players in the next Unlimited Window

This lets new owners jump in and compete straight away, while still resetting squads at season’s end.

| ✅ If you buy the club and all the players from the previous owner (in a bundle or separately), they’ll remain registered and usable straight away, including for training.

Footium matches aren’t just something you watch — you can actively influence the outcome in real time.

Every day, your club will play a live match against another real opponent. To tune in:

Head to the Fixtures tab
Find your upcoming or current match
Click Watch Match This opens the live match viewer, where you can see key moments, lineups, and performance insights.

🧠 The ‘Manage’ Tab

At the top of the match screen, you’ll see a Manage tab. This is your tactical command centre, allowing you to make real-time changes to try and influence the result. Here’s what you can adjust during the match:

🔄 Substitutions — Make up to 3 subs per match
🧩 Formations — Switch shape to suit the flow of the game
📈 Mentality — Adjust your approach (e.g. go Ultra Attacking if chasing a goal)
🎖️ Captain — Change your captain on the fly
↔️ Player Positions — Move players to new roles or swap positions

||| You can make multiple changes at once (e.g. change formation + 2 subs), but you can’t queue actions — you’ll need to wait a few in-game minutes for changes to take effect before making more.

⚠️ No Guaranteed Benefit

There’s no automatic bonus for making changes during a match. In fact, poor decisions or excessive tinkering can make things worse.
