🛠️ Community tools and resources

Footium has an active community, and some of the most useful learning resources come from managers who play the game every day. Official guides explain the systems, while community tools can help with scouting, market research, squad planning, and understanding player value.

Use community tools as helpful references, not absolute truth. Footium is a strategy game, and the best decisions still depend on your club, division, squad, budget, and season goals.

SquadScoutPro

The main community tool highlighted in the game guide is SquadScoutPro, built by long-time community member Joe.

You can find it here:

https://www.squadscout.pro

SquadScoutPro is especially useful if you are buying or selling players. One of its key features is Estimated Market Value, which compares players against similar sales from the last 30 days and shows the comparable players behind the estimate.

This can help when you are unsure how to price a player or whether a market listing looks reasonable.

However, it is still an estimate. Player value can change based on:

  • Age
  • Current rating
  • Remaining potential
  • Position
  • Stamina
  • Leadership
  • Rarity
  • Registration status
  • Season timing
  • Transfer window timing
  • Demand from other managers

A player who looks fairly priced statistically may still be the wrong fit for your club. Use tools to inform your judgement, not replace it.

Official game guide and Help Centre

The full Footium game guide is the best place to understand core systems in detail. It covers:

  • Getting started
  • Caretaker play
  • Club ownership
  • Players and squads
  • Academy
  • Transfers
  • Registration windows
  • Tactics and live matches
  • Seasons, promotion, relegation, and rewards
  • Stadiums and FC
  • Training and coaching
  • Rules and disruption policies
  • Referrals and community tools

Because Footium changes over time, always check the latest in-game information, Help Centre articles, and Discord announcements if something looks outdated.

Discord as a resource

The Footium Discord is more than a chat room. It is one of the most useful tools for staying informed.

Join here:

https://discord.gg/footium

Use Discord to:

  • Ask gameplay questions
  • Follow announcements
  • Track season dates
  • Learn transfer window timings
  • Discuss tactics
  • Share player listings
  • Report issues privately through tickets
  • Join competitions and giveaways
  • Give feedback to the team

If you are new, reading recent discussions can help you understand common mistakes. For example, managers often learn the hard way that registered players may not be immediately usable after purchase, or that tired players can become injury risks.

Transfer Market research

The in-game Transfer Market is the most accurate source for player status. Use it here:

https://footium.club/game/transfer-market

When researching players, check:

  • Whether the player is registered or unregistered
  • Age and retirement risk
  • Current rating
  • Used and remaining potential
  • Position fit
  • Stamina and leadership
  • Whether the player suits your formation

Unregistered players can usually be registered immediately. Registered players may have to wait for an unlimited registration window unless their current club unregisters them during a limited window. Always double-check in-game before buying.

Community events and rewards

The game guide notes that FC and other rewards are regularly available through community events, quizzes, competitions, and giveaways across Discord and X.

These are not guaranteed at all times, and the exact rewards can change by season. Keep an eye on official announcements so you do not miss current opportunities.

Referrals

Footium includes referral systems, but referral rewards and seasonal bonuses can change. Older guides may mention specific tiers or bonuses from previous seasons. Check the current referral page in-game and the latest season announcements for accurate details.

The guide says you can find your referral link through the gift button, which takes you to the referrals page inside the Social tab.

Best practice when using resources

A sensible workflow is:

  1. Use the Help Centre to understand the rule
  2. Check the game interface for current status
  3. Use community tools for research
  4. Ask Discord if you need practical advice
  5. Make the final decision based on your club plan

Footium is about judgement. Community tools can give you better information, but your club’s future is still shaped by the decisions you make.
